It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our President, Don Aitchison G3BSA. He passed away peacefully on Wed 2nd April 2008, in (ironically) ward G3 of Bolton Royal Infirmary. Don, along with Jack Williams, was the founder of this club in 1981 and remained an active member throughout. We have lost a wonderful man.

Hi and Welcome to the West Manchester Radio Club website. Here we hope to provide you with an insight into the day to day activities of our club, The Club based 15 miles North West of Manchester now has a membership of 100+.The WMRC is a registered satellite centre for the RSGB examinations. Take a look at our Constitution Here We hold two Rallies one in summer (QRP Rally) and a Christmas Rally held in early December. Both are popular events in the area and attract amateurs from as far afield as the south coast. They are held at the Formby Hall in Atherton Manchester (summer) and the Lowton Community Centre at Lowton Warrington.
